Arrival by Car

The A7 motorway, Germany's longest motorway, ends in the south in Füssen. This motorway stretches over 961 kilometers from north to south, allowing travelers a swift and convenient journey by car or coach. Additionally, the federal highways B16, B17, and B310, as well as the Fernpass road (B179) from Austria, lead directly to Füssen.

Since the motorway ends directly at the border tunnel and becomes a two-lane road, which is also two-lane in nearby Tyrol, traffic jams may occur on busy days before the Füssen exit. We recommend drivers and coach travelers to check the current traffic conditions and, if necessary, leave the motorway at the Nesselwang exit. From there, the route leads via the federal highways B309 and B310 to Füssen.

Arrival by Train

Füssen is integrated into the long-distance network of Deutsche Bahn and is connected to numerous major cities in Germany via the IC and ICE stops in Munich and Augsburg. From Munich or Augsburg, continue with the regional train to Füssen. On site, use public transport to stay flexible.
